Academy The Language of Money

Most financial confusion isn't about math — it's about vocabulary. Terms like “net income,” “cash flow,” and “net worth” get thrown around constantly, but few people could define them precisely enough to use them, and fewer still were ever shown how the concepts connect. This track builds that vocabulary from the ground up, using Plenee's own plain-English versions of the ideas — FLOW, NET, and NEST — instead of the jargon that usually gets in the way.

It covers what money actually moving through your life looks like (FLOW), whether you're coming out ahead over any given stretch of time (NET), and what you actually own once everything's netted out (NEST) — plus the more useful distinctions hiding underneath those three ideas, like the difference between debt that changes your financial position and debt that just pays for spending, or between money you're obligated to spend and money you're choosing to. It closes on a distinction that reframes a lot of what follows: being rich is what other people see; being wealthy is what they don't.
